Be Cool radiator install.

Anybody here have a Be Cool exact fit rad ( mines a 71 GMC 1500 ), I need info on what they did to the factory mounts to make it bolt in. I just got mine and the old mounts aren't going to work without modification. Be Cool said that most people just have to enlage the rubbers, I don'y think that will do it on mine. Right now I have a 4 row rad that was built from a original 3 row if that makes a differance. I don't want to cut up the original mounts if they aren't going to work, in that case I will just build new ones, if the old ones will work modified then that's the route I'll take.

Re: Be Cool radiator install.

It sounds like you built a 4 row using 3 row tanks. If that is the case then you will need 4 row upper and lower brackets. They are easy to find. Board venders carry them.

Re: Be Cool radiator install.

how can you tell the difference between 3 row and 4 row brackets? Is there a measurement in width?
