I have some I am about to use on a 383. I have all of the other POR15 prep. products and plan on brushing on. Is there any problems or special tips that anyone has discovered that I need to know? Also, I plan on painting my aluminum manifold with it. Any problems over aluminum??

its good engine paint/ i've found a few THIN coats will give a great finish/ avoid thick coats because it will have a tendercy to sag and be uneven if applied too thick also avoid brushing it over too often//i also will have more than one (disposable) brush ready because it'll load uo quickly if you dont apply it fast enough

I used it on my 292 and aulminum intake manifold and it worked great straight out of the can. I think its the best engine paint by far .No problems on aluminum. Chris

I read instructions now and they said on cast surface go for it. The smooth panels like a pan or valve, timing covers require the metal prep.
