Re: what would rub with drop spindles?

My wheels rubbed on the lower a-frame. It had 15x8 street stars on it. I had to use a 1/4 spacer to get them to clear.

These are 18" wheels but this is the area I think they are talking about.

Only rubs I've had were with big tires. Top outside of the tire hits the corner on the wheel well where it attaches to the fender when I hit a bump hard.

Re: what would rub with drop spindles?

My wheel scrubbed the lower control arm a couple inches from the ball joint end. I'm sure that they could be clearanced and reinforced (the hydraulic hopping guys sturdy em up all the time). Mine only scrubbed when the wheels were cut deep. I went up to a 17" wheel and the problem went away. I was also only running a 2.5" drop spindle.

15 x 8 rallies rub! I went with the Belltech 3" drop spindles. You just need to do a little grinding on the lower A-arm. Be sure to rip off the I.D. tags on the lip of the rim because these are going to hit the ball joint. Here's some pics.
