I've been wondering htis too. I haven't stopped at a glass place yet to ask but it's definately not on the surface.

Where can you find new glass or do you need to find a used one?

Just call a local glass shop, it's about 200 installed.

It's the glass layers de-laminating. Replace or ignore as far as I know.

I would replace.... I found that calling around to the glass shops was actually cheaper then getting it from LMC or other places.... The glass was the same cost but there was no shipping.... and can be installed for cheap@!

Re: 1967 to 1972 windshields turn white !

Yes it is delamination due to moisture working its way in over the years. If it was laminated properly it should have sealed and moisture should never make its way in. I'm sure that quality control wasn't what it is today. Also, that is not rubber, it is polyvinyl butyral. We call it PVB for short. It is a vinyl made by Dupont. Here is a link with further info if you're interested. PVB

Re: 1967 to 1972 windshields turn white !

I bought my windshield and small rear window right here in Vacaville, brand new. The windshield even has the tint strip across the top. The windshield was only 100 bucks... the rubber is pretty pricey though IMO. It's easy to install yourself. Saves you money anyway.
