What mufflers are you running? Did I miss it earlier in the thread?

Re: Update on my Suburban

Lobak or Spintech mufflers. 2-1/2"pipe and the muffler is 24 inches long. The bags work now I will take a movie this weekend. I got to hook up the Oasis Trailhead to my tanks instead of running my garage compressor to them. I am waiting to get my scat/procar bucket seats and need to finish up a few other items before I can drive it!!!

Re: Update on my Suburban

I haven't touched it in months!!! I went to drive it Superbowl sunday and it had a dead battery! I need to lock out the distributor, and get my doors align so they close right then I will drive it more....I kind of lost interest in it. I put so much time into it and I just need a break from working on it. It needs all the little stuff fixed! I have been spending my time building a 94 s-10 to drag race.

Was the engine new or newly rebuilt. Your not supposed to break-in an engine with ceramic headers.

Re: Update on my Suburban

My motor was rebuilt, but before the headers were ran the cermic coating was not that good looking. I have seen better. They looked cheap.

Re: Update on my Suburban

No pics of my hinges yet. The car is being stored @ my parents garage. After seeing some of the other hinges I would not do what I did. I have been burned out on my 63 for a while now. When I get back into it I will look into correcting the hinges!

Re: Update on my Suburban

Looking at your brub I don't see how it is possible to loose interest. How long have you been building it? My project is going on (7) yrs and has survived a marriage as well as the birth of my two boys. I am determined to finish it by next summer.

Nice project.

Re: Update on my Suburban

I busted my ass on the truck for a few months to get it done last march for a goodguys car.... since then I have drove it about 500miles. I need to fix some stuff on it that I don't like doing. I bought new door hinges for it to fix the door alignment problem....didn't cure it. So now i got a bungy cord holding the door closed. I need to lock out my distrubtor....pain in the ass to work on the motor due to the hinges not opening the up all the way... I think I have a rod knock....@ low rpms. I need to finish the interior... I was ready to sell it but I figure I will hold on to it till I am ready to fix the little things. I really wish Porterbuilt had his crossmember out when I did mine. I am not happy with mine. it has to wide of a track. I can't ride low with my wheels- 245-40-20. 6.5 backspace on a 8.5 rim. I should sell my frame and buy a short bed frame and shorten my burb down!!!!!
