White gages

I have been looking for an instrument cluster w/ tach and vacuum gage, for my 72 C10. Then I seen some nice white gages, someone posted on here. I was wondering where you can get those? I have searched everywhere for them.

Not cheesy at all. The original tins were painted black. What's so cheesy about painting them white?

I used whitegauges.net as well.

Re: White gages

I got them too. The lines on the overlays could be a bit sharper... but otherwise, they are awesome IMO.

These were actually taken to show the knobs I have on the longhorn...picked them up a couple years ago when i was in LA and went to moon eyes.
And then there is the set going into the burb here soon. I need to crack this one open and redo the needles, and then install the odometer from the original cluster... but other wise, it's ready to go.

Re: White gages

I don't think they look so cheesy. I do wish I had the lense with the black numbers though.

I do too, but I was told they aren't made for the 3 gauge cluster dash, only the 7 gauge clusters.

Re: White gages

You can't read them at night though.
What i would like to see, is a black number/letter stickers, that you place on the backside of the lens, that outlines the numbers. That way you could read it easier durring the day, and they would still light up at night.

Re: White gages

Do ya have take the needles off the big guages? If so don't they bend easy and the shaft that holds the needle how do you keep from damaging it?

Re: White gages

you slip the overlay over the needle, there's a hole in the center, and they're a little stretchy

Andy, the reason you can't see it at night is you guys are using the wrong lens. Byrd sells the lens that's a darker green during the day which looks way better than pale green stock lenses and the numbers glow clear at night as you can see on my dash Keep in mind I'm running refractor type LED's in my dash also. These bulbs are sold on ebay all day long.
