1971 big block

I have changed my mind and think I am going to sell my 402 and th440 don't know how much to ask for it. It is all stock and as far as I know hasn't been bored. All brackets, alternator, a/c compressor, power steering pump will all go with it as I plan to go with a new 6.0 vortec. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Brackets are worth as much as the engine. I fit's a runner and you are selling everything big block related ( shround, mounts, brackets, ect.),it could bring as much as $1500. The economy will have an effect on it right now though.

does it run? -- or let me re-phrase -- could it run with a couple hundred bucks and some tlc, or does it need any of the "big pieces" replaced

Yes it runs smokes just a little. So I would say with couple hundred bucks it would be a good runner.

I would say you are right! I happen to know that was a good running engine with just a little blowby.
