Post auto. trans. shift linkage ?

Need to know if auto. shift linkage & frame brackets are all the same for 2wd. & 4wd. Reason for this, have a board member wanting to bye my shift linkage & bracket from a C-10 2wd to put on a GMC Jimmy 4wd.
Thanks TxGary

OK, here's your definitive answer. I'm looking at the Factory Service Manual for 1972. Section 7-14 shows the linkage for the C-series. Section 7-15 shows the linkage for the K-series. THEY ARE DIFFERENT! Called my friend in CA who has a C and a K and he said his ARE different also. Try www.kingsparts.com or CPNE to locate corract cmponents. Not trying to undermine a sale but you need the right parts...period.

truckman1 is correct . It's been a while but i converted mine to automatic and i tried to put two wheel drive rod and brackets didn't fit so i just happen to have 4x4 rod and brackets fit just right . Sorry it was my mistake when i stated that linkage was the same .

thanks for the answers. And a special THANK YOU to TXGARY for not trying to sell me the wrong piece. I doubt that a Parts store OR a "Grave Digger" would have put that much effort into finding-out whether it was the right part !!
If I had a Sister, I'd give her your phone # !!!
