Are you saying that on level smooth pavement it wanders, or when you go over bumps/dips? If it is the later, (which is probably the case) you really need crossover steering to correct. Any other slop in the system will be magnified by the bump steer.

Drag link should be parallel to the ground, but with that much lift you are going to feel it w/o a x-over setup.
