I think in the pic of the seat, there is a gold insert in the seat, it looks a little darker anyways, perhaps it was faded by sun?

Longhornmail, yeah that seat is the proper colors, its is very well worn though. Too much junk on the seat when i took the shot so i didn't get that one taken very good i know. Ill have to go back and scan them bigger next time round (maybe friday) so you guy can get more clear looks at her as i know these aren't as great as the pics i took. But this will definitely give you an idea of what im about to sink my teeth into! Hope you all liked

Hey somone mentioned the rear axle has a full floater that wasn't original. In my 68 Brochure it says that C20s and C30s did have the ability to be full floating, infact C10s only had semi-floating.... according to this spec sheet in the back. What is this "full floating" and "semi floating" all about? I'm curious to know, thanks guys!

Aaron,

The rear end on that 68 Longhorn is NOT the original. 67-72 never had the 14 Bolt Corporation rear end that 68 has on it. Yes 67-72 3/4 -1 tons ALL had full floaters.........but they only had either the dana 60 or the heavy duty Eaton (A.K.A. 3/4 ton HO5200# or 1ton HO7200#). If you don't like that truck anymore because it doesn't have the original rear end.........let me know...........I guess I can go get that truck for myself!!............J/K!
Keep us posted!

Thanks Jim for the info on that axle. Makes me wonder what else might not be "original" so to speak, oh well, i still like the truck just so you know I'm going to talk see the guy tomorrow again to try and get things squared away. Why does buying a vehical hafta be such a slow process? Nuts...... thanks again!

Even though it is not an original rear...that is a very good upgrade. Parts are hard to find and very expensive when dealing with the Eaton/Corp rear. And the Danas didn't find there way into a whole lot of trucks.
