WTB If it exists. Eaton drop out w/5.13's

I heard from someone that the dually application Eaton rears had 5.13 gears. I'm not sure if they actually exist so I thought I would check here.

Anybody have the drop out section with somewhere around 5.13 gears or know if they actually exist?

Drop-out carrier won't be hard to find but the gear set may be. Junk yard?

Not too hard to find 5.13 (actually 5.14 in the eaton) around here. I might have my hands on one next week. PM me if interested. Doesn't have to be a dually to find them, usually found in a bare bones (0 options) early 60's 6cyl. 4spd truck. In my experience, old power company or railroad trucks almost always have a locking diff. also!

I tried Randy's first. They said it's no longer made.

I don't know much about these axles. Can you just remove the drop out section & reinstall it in another eaton axle? That's what I'm hoping to be able to do.

Jeffspower, if you find one let me know how much. I'm not exactly sure how much I want to spend on this dinosaur of an axle, but it beats losing a couple inches ground clearance by installing a 14B.

Friend just bought a 61 GMC and were gonna swap the gears out and put 410 in... I'm sure he will sell the steeper version gears... gonna have to wait a bit till we do it though... maybe in a week or so. PM if interested. Not sure whats in it yet but its s 6 cyl 4 spd so it's either 5.14 or 4.57.

If it happens to be 5.14's, I have 4,10's now. I haven't had it apart to see the wear pattern yet, but maybe we could work a trade.
