Tips on taking off blazer quarter panels?

Hey guys, we are kicking around the idea of taking off some good OEM blazer quarters from a parts blazer to replace our rusted ones on our 78'. Any tips as far as removing these? Places of welds, bolts, where to cut? Thanks Trevor

Try to hit up glimmmertwin, he has a complete nos quarter. See if you can get some detailed pics and then cut yours in the same places.

Re: Tips on taking off blazer quarter panels?

Thanks Russ, GlimmerTwin's NOS quarter is for a 73-75 blazer though. I am pretty sure the half cab model quarters are different. Something about how they attach to the cab portion. Trevor

The only difference (as I remember) is where it is spot welded to the half cab bracing. If you are cutting them off of another truck, just cut a little extra off of the top, and then find the spot welds.
