Re: pics of my 71 burb

Very Nice!!

I like the stance. The interior is very nice as well. Often grey interiors don't seem to come out too well in these trucks, but yours is very nice. Is the dash speckle painted??

What motor is in it??

The seats are out of a 1988 suburban. Except for the third row and got it out of a 1977 blazer.

Very Nice Burb, interior is cool and I like the flames. I like how you covered all the metal. It gives me something to think about on my 69 Chevy.

Re: pics of my 71 burb

Very good lookin' Burb. It's nice to see something outside the norm. I've seen square gas-door conversions, but I've been waiting to see a round conversion so I could make-up my mind. Round it is!

And I like the wheels too, wouldn't change a thing.

Thanks, the door was out of about a 87 ford taurus, I even used the cable to pop open the door from under my seat.

I wasn't sure when I started wrapping everything in material, if i was going to like it. Overall its ok,hard to keep material from fraying around top of doors. Most of the rest can be tucked up and behind door panels. I look for progress on yours Thanks Dan

Re: pics of my 71 burb

Very nice! I really like the tweed on the panels. A different touch you don't see in these trucks very often. Really looks good. I also like the round gas door. I have been thinking of adding one to my new project but wasn't quite sure if it would look out of place or not. I see now that it looks great. Thanks for sharing!

Re: pics of my 71 burb

By the way... Would love to see a close up of the door panels. Did you put tweed on the inserts of the panels?

That was a little bit of a trick.I couldn't find a rollpan for a suburban, so a friend of mine, took a fleetside truck rollpan and a 1988-93 rollpan, cut them into 1/3 and rewelded to fit. Then we added the holes for the taillights and added some billet grills to cover those. There might be someone who knows of an easier way.
