Re: My Crewcab Shortbed

h1 wheels are cheap, get them just about anywhere. Their tires are cheap too.

D44 and 10 bolt are the same strength, as far as the later design 77-82 at the latest are concereded 44's. You can either get or put an 8 lug outer just as easily on the 10 bolt and 44, and in most cases they swap from knuckle out anyways.

d60s gonna cost ya a arm and a leg, military truck pairs would be the way i go. 4.56 gear, fronts on the m1028a's and some others had limited slip, with the 4.56 gear 14 bolt with detriot in the back, only downfall is its a single rear wheel setup.

Re: My Crewcab Shortbed

I don't care about the strength of the axle right now. Hell the front axle won't even have a driveshaft hooked to it until I can get 4x4 th400 and transfercase lol. I just need it to be 8 lug that's all for right now. I eventually want a d60 with h1 wheels and h1 36s. But for now I'm fine with just getting a front axle under it so I can get it on the road.

Good, and don't forget the vid! I love to watch vids of people turning bolts. Or better yet, how about a vid of you typing your posts? That would be awesome! Or how about a vid of Chester loading candy in the van?

I tried to sell you a Dana 60 dually front for $500 bucks cracka! I agree with your previous post, Put a 8 lug dana44 HD under it and drive it. You wont need a 60 unless you're off roading it. There was a 8 lug 44HD on NC4x4.com yesterday with 4.10 gears for $200.00 just FYI

Hey man, why are you telling everyone about my Cummins! It's supposed to be a secret!

I guess it's out now. Now that the garage is cleared out and I have gathered a few parts I will be gladly building my dream Daily Driver truck.

87 Silverado, Crew Cab Short Bed, 1 Ton, 4X4, Dana 60 Front, 14 Bolt Rear,
Cummins Turbo Diesel, A518 Trans, NP205 Transfer Case, ETC, ETC....

But hey it's still a secret, dont tell everybody!

Re: My Crewcab Shortbed

Turns out a 38 hour road trip in January to Missouri and back is not a good idea! I need to build my daily driver first so I can get rid of my truck payment. It is putting me in a situation I am not happy with. Then I am going to buy a rust free complete truck from out west, fly in, and drive it home! Maybe in the spring or fall though!
