Was it originally an auto or manual? Did yours not come with instructions? I will see if I can find the instructions for mine tonight if it will help you. Also, you can use the stock auto shifter linkge from the TH350 on the 4l60e.

Re: Lokar shift cable linkage

Yeah mine came with instructions and I put it all together but for some reason the angle of mine snapped the end of the cable where the threads are. The angle the instructions give to put the extension on the column is impossible because it will go into the firewall. So i tried a different angle but since I broke it the first time now I am waiting for the replacement. Its been fun! not.

I bought that same kit for the 4l80e in my 84 suburban, and have already thrown it away. I think it just was not designed for our application. I couldnt use that billet arm holder thing and had to rig up cable holder using a home made bracket that bolted to the original speedometer cable holder bolt. I could only get park to drive, and eventually stretched the cable. I spoke to lokar and the guy I got a hold of said that it wouldnt work with my application and to have a nice day.... I have since bought the lokar 23'' auto floor shifter and love it.

Re: Lokar shift cable linkage

If you bought this type, It need to go on the left side of the column, Not thr engine side. The cable will also need to be mounted to the trans from the rear of the trans.
