Now, If only we can find……….

I would prefer this NOT be moved to the burb section but either way is fine.

…..the build sheet, we will be loaded up on the documentation for our newly acquired Suburban. Has anybody ever found a build sheet for a burb? It only has @55k miles on it and the seat is original, so I hope it is under the seat.

Nate you can do better than pictures, you can see the real deal when you pick up your 8 lug disc brake front end.

Re: Now, If only we can find……….

Hello, I am new to the Truck World and was wandering about Build Sheets in trucks. I come from the Chevelle World and I know that certain plants put build sheets in specific locations (door panel-Atlanta, top of gas tank-Van Nays, rear seat-Baltimore, etc...). My 72 GMC is a 1 owner and has never been apart. It was built at the St Louis Plant and I was just wandering if you all knew where I should look and hope. Thanks for your help.

We have only ever found one and it was in the glovebox. I am sure different plants put them in different placees but most of the truck build sheets have been found under or behind the seat woven between the exposed springs.

I think most people will tell you to look under the seat:

Johnathan, we always assumed these trucks did not have window stickers but this one does. Any input from yourself or other knowledgeable folks would be helpful.
Always appreciate you Paul

Paul, I have seen a 1972 cheyenne super window sticker before that was original. I don't know if they just put them on 72's only or not. Trevor

My build sheet on my 69 was behind the seat, not under it. Got it out in one piece! My 67 Malibu's sheet was stuck on top of the AM radio with some sort of black tar looking stuff. Hope you find yours!

I was talking to Dan Tippmann and we talking about how neat this truck is and how everyone wants to see pictures of it. Remember it has been in a barn for 12 yrs and I at least want to clean it before we show it off. Be patient, Jason and I are both eager to see it cleaned up...

Be sure to take pics of it as-is too. Barn dust is pretty cool in its own right.
