Console cover

Does anyone make a cover for the fold down console out of a '03? It doesn't make sense to build one like this so when I tip it up eveything falls out? What were they thinking? Thanks for any ideas or help!

Re: Console cover

Don't know what that flip down console is out of, but the one in my 03 GMC doesn't look anything like that. It has a cover on it, and my drink holders are down on the front part of the seat by the floor.

I think they were different depending on trim levels.

Re: Console cover

I had one out of a 1999 originally and the hinge broke which I found was very common. I found this one on ebay. Could you post a picture of your cover?

Thanks
Mike

That's what mine looks like too! I've never seen the other one....I wouldn't mind an extra set of cup holders, and the little recess mine has doesn't hold much just kind of slides around and off....

Re: Console cover

Thanks

I think I will just make a wood cover with a friction latch, maybe that will hold. I put these seats in my '69 so I could have the shoulder harness and a middle seat belt. The 99 seat had a lift up latch but no cup holder, I have pictures of it here:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ighlight=seats

I just thought somebody might have a cover all made up.

Re: Console cover

That picture is a console from a 07 up new body style truck/suv. Not sure if the upper half from a 99-07 classic would bolt up or not.

The first pic in the first post is the new body 07 up style

Re: Console cover

Is the center seat/ console from a 07+ (NBS) a direct replacement for the center seat/console for the 2006? I would like to replace the fixed center seat in my work truck with the folding center seat from an 07+ so I have the ability to store things in the under seat safe offered in the new body style.

Re: Console cover

I used the same holes I drilled for the 99 console for the 07 console.
