Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Happy summer everybody,
It's been awhile since I've been on here, so here's some updated pic's of my '69. I got her 2 new bumpers, new mirrors, trim rings and center caps. I needed a place to put some speakers, without cutting the doors, so I built a wooden speaker box that places the 6 1/2 inch Sony Xplod speakers under the dash, between the driver and passenger. I painted the box black with trunk speckle paint, which came out really good and sounds pretty good as well. I realize that I blocked the heater, but this aint no winter truck no mo and If I need heat, the defrosters work great. I have all, but the steering box to swap this over to power steering (The 6 cyl. brackets were tricky to find) so that will be one of my winter projects. I'm going slow on her, as I'm too busy driving her, to take her apart

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
It has a 427 from a 69 impala and the headers are dynomax. They were supposed to be ceramic coated but that didn't last long.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Thanks 72TealnWhite, I don't mind at all. I was back and forth on how low to go as well. 2/4 seemed to be just right. I would recommend buying some rear shock re-locaters as well.
On the way home from taking those pics my truck started to KNOCK!! I've been slowly tearing it down hoping it is NOT a spun bearing. So far everything is pointing to that though! Sucks! Looks like I'm going to have to park it for a while so i can gather some change up for a new engine. We shall see what happens. |

A couple of trucks from Cruise weekend in Saskatoon. There had to have been 700 plus vehicles there.
