need a little help regarding paint color

Hi,

Looking for a little help regarding the color of my truck. When I look at the info on the inside of the glove box door it lists the color as "special". However, when I looked through the glove box, I found the original order sheet and spec sheet for this truck and it lists the truck as being ordered maroon which it currently is. My question is this: Does anyone know what is meant by "special" and it alos appears that the firewall and door jambs are a goldish, silver color. I want to believe that was the original color and perhaps the truck was repainted (since the trim has been removed and the holes filled) but all paperwork says it was maroon originally(or vermillion to be technical). Any thoughts as to what may be going on here??

My guess is that the Vermillion (paint code 515) is original and the cab has been swapped, based on what you've posted.

Not sure. The factory vin number that matches the title and the id sheet in the glovebox match what is written on the firewall....looks factory to me so I am more confused now...

My guess is that "special" means two-tone.
