Working on some odds and ends.

>High hump conversion..

>building a bracket to mount the Accuair Exomount/tank/compressors

>Brake lines

And got some goodies today, New overflow tank from Champion (3"x9")
Porterbuilt new truss mounts to raise the motor. If all goes well I should have the motor mocked up by the end of the weekend and get the Tranny crossmember in

Is your Heater Control Painted Silver, or is it Polished?

Re: My 66 C-10 LWB full PB "Blackout"

I heard back from Shon on the Autometer Guages:

Quote:
$715 shipped for
2096 - tach
2093 - voltsmeter
2014 - fuel guage
2022 - oil (mechanical)
3228 braided steel pressure line
2033 - water temp (mechanical)
This quote is missing the speedometer, he said the model I want has not been released yet (with the mechanical odometer).

I love the console. I was going to go that route until I got the crazy idea to just build my own using the ideas from the Caddy.

Awesome, I will check out your thread to see the process. Anything Caddy and you cant go wrong. My daily driver is the new CTS-V and i love the dash to center console in those but integrating that into the small cab of a c-10 was a hug challenge. This console almost fits effortlessly.

Re: My 66 C-10 LWB full PB "Blackout"

Ya- i'll throw up some pics little later on.. Been having a hell of a time getting the LS in. With the motor mounts PB sent me it would not fit. The coil packs bracket hit the firewall and would let it move back any further. That has been my main hurdle.

Right now I am waiting on new motor mounts from PB.

Re: My 66 C-10 LWB full PB "Blackout"

Installed the new headers last night, and working on a lot of odds and ends. The entire exhaust system will be black. I plan on using QTP electronic exhaust cut-outs. This way i can run two exhaust systems. One obviously being open headers, the other more mild with glass packs. IVe never owned a car i didnt straight pipe, so i thought it would be cool to have options

Yea, fits perfect between the frame rails, and more importantly the clearance to the ground is perfect. I wont have any issues laying this on out.

Re: My 66 C-10 LWB full PB "Blackout"

Hotter then hell here in Vegas. But I am managing to keep things going. Test fitting the bed, so i can figure out my exhaust plan, port-through box for the subs, accuair and battery locations. The truck is at my desired ride height in this pic. She will be tucking a good 6" or so in the rear
