After 15 years I drove my 65...Again

I got my Grandpa's truck when I was 16, drove it some for a few years then parked it for 15+ years..... After working on it when I could find time over the last few months, I got the entire brakes rebuilt, wiring issues fixed, alot of putting back together from being torn apart 15 years ago.

Today we went farther than the driveway,.... we went down the street to the gas station were I filled her up, then made a trip to a buddies house, and several trips hauling stuff to the mini storage.

Sure felt good to drive it again, almost forgot how much fun it is to drive these old trucks.

Outstanding! A proud moment for sure. For having sat around so long, it looks to be in great condition.

Congrats!
I know the feeling.
It was huge for me to drive mine after 25 years.
That's why I won't be doing a frame-up restore anytime soon.

You are very fortunate to have your Grandpa's truck.

Already have ! I could have made ONE trip to the mini storage, but where is the fun in that..... instead I hauled a few things at a time and made several!

Very cool. Gotta almost feel like driving a new truck again. Glad to see you've kept it all those years!

Nice truck for sure. Put some PB suspension and Big Billets and you will have a perfect truck.
