Need help with coolant system. 5.3 surge tank with LS1 Radiator
My upper radiator hose gets hot but seems to have no pressure or much flow. I can easily collapse it with my hand. I also had it over heat on driving at highway speeds during a long drive. I noticed my 5.3 surge tank has a pressure cap and so does the LS1 radiator. Will having two pressure caps allow it not to work correctly? When it over heated it did it very slowly. Seems like little coolant flow is causing the problem. The e fans cool the radiator very well. Any ideas?

yes....get rid of the tank cap and use the surge tank cap. is your cooling fan mechanical or electric?
did you fill your 5.3 from the top hose? and top it off after a heat cycle?

Alright problem solved. The reservoir pressure cap was cracked. I replaced with a new one and the hoses now have pressure and better flow
