Bed removal
So I went to start taking my bed off and the back does not want to come up. I removed the 8 bolts holding the bed down. This is a wooden long bed btw.

Sorry! Forgot to say I was using a forklift, and some 2x4s. The 2x at the back ended up snapping after bending the bed rail a tad bit! Picking up at the rear corner on either side of the bed by hand causes the chassis to lift at the corner you lift from.
I plan on runnin 2xs from corner to corner on the next lift attempt to help spread the load. Are there any welds I need to cut that I am just not seeing?? Posted via Mobile Device

Ensure there are no exhaust hangers bolted to the cross sills under your bed...

Thanks guys. The PO ended up welding some of the bumper to the bed... Bed is now off!

Mine had the bumper welded to the frame and a bunch of bracketry for things like trailer lights that connected the bed to the bumper... just in case someone else comes across this thread facing a similar problem, I bet its pretty common.
