Steering stabilizer

I saw this kit in LMC and I wondered whats the advantages for it and will it fit 2wd? Because the kit was listed under the 2wd steering component

http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cc/full.aspx?Page=137 if the link don't work its on page 137.On a 2 wheel drive its a band aid over a real problem like wore out parts that need replacing. On a 4x4 its kinda needed once you have a good size tire on it.

Re: Steering stabilizer

it helps with lifted 4x4s for sure. I've had at least a single on all my 4x4s. My current K5 Blazer has dual steering stabilizers and they help with the 35"ers.

Re: Steering stabilizer

I had one on a C20 it helps to stabilize the steering when your driving on rough roads but while driving in town i couldn't even tell it was even on there.

Re: Steering stabilizer

I've driven some cars that had a ton of bump steer most likely because the suspension design didn't lend itself to having good steering link angles for whatever reason, but our trucks don't seem to have any bump steer at all, at least the 2WD models anyway. The steering stabilizer just isn't necessary because it's already stable.
