Re: Winter Hibernation Cleanup
I use a battery tender.
and start it. no stabl, no need.. my paint is so so, so no cover.. irishspring in the cab.. and thats it.. they use salt up here, not that that matter, this was a texas truck(north) and the rockers are rotting from the inside out.. if the truck is garaged. cover is unneeded unless you fear hitting it, going in and out the garage.. |

Re: Winter Hibernation Cleanup
How well does a battery tender work on an optima battery?

Re: Winter Hibernation Cleanup
I wish mine was at the level I could store it and keep it nice for the winter..However mine is going to get ripped apart cut up and welded up.. New trans and hopefully about 1000 spot welds LOL. I hope to be sitting in a decent coat of primer by spring and have a good driving truck. Drive all summer then work on nice paint next winter. I do plan to dump my coolent and add new since half the winter it will be sitting outside.

Re: Winter Hibernation Cleanup
Thought I'd bring this back to the top...
Does everyone have their rigs ready for the winter slumber?

Re: Winter Hibernation Cleanup
I still have places to go and stuff to do with mine. The son will be bringing his home to the garage in about 3 weeks.
