3 speed column question

What holds the turn signal collar in place on a 3 speed column? I think mine has some broken pieces or something. I did a search but no luck.

Re: 3 speed column question

My truck had them broken off too. I worked on mine again a few weeks ago. I did not get it right the first time. There are 3 "L" shaped tabs that engage the collar. They point counterclockwise. When the collar is installed over the tabs, it is turned clockwise a few degrees and the turn signal switch clamps the 2 parts in place. Can you tell where the tabs were? I can't remember what the measurements were. I had some pics with measurements, but they accidentally got deleted. Maybe someone will see this and chime in. My parts truck is buries in snow right now.

Re: 3 speed column question

Ok all three tabs on mine were broken off. So I got another column and am using it but with the steering wheel off looking into the center of the turn signal switch there is a bearing missing. Where do I get that bearing. I checked lmc and their book did not show it>

Re: 3 speed column question

It comes with the turn signal switch. I believe you can only get it in an assembly.

I usually get my parts from classic parts. They are also a vendor sponsor of this board. I try to buy from a sponsor whenever I can. Their website is easier to search than some of the other vendors.
