Re: A gathering of small Chevrolets

I was watching your video on youtube of your extended crew cab when my wife came in and I had to convince her that it wasn't a full size truck. Excellent work, love the four wheeling.

Wink Re: A gathering of small Chevrolets

You do some nice woork on them. They look real. I use to love building them. I have a couple of the clod buster's my self. They were the big dogs back in the 90's when I played with them. I also built a dragster truck with a 5000RPM black magic motor that would leave black marks on the road when you took off.
They collect dust now.

The C/B I would run 2 - 7.2 battery packs at a time for longer run times.

This one has a 6 way radio for it. The roll bar had functional light in it.
The hood raises up and it crab steer's to. I installed all metal ball bearings in it instead of the plastic ones in the kit.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Thank you Andy, It was the Clod Buster that bit me back in 1991, and then I got into RC Dirt Oval racing a wedge (late model ??) bodies, a Camaro actually.

I am drooling so bad over your trucks, you shouldn't do that to me, they are like candy to me.

Thank you guys !!

Talking Re: A gathering of small Chevrolets

Well if you want to drool over them in person I can make you a deal on them. I will tell u though they aren't cheap to build when you add the real bearings. I have over $500.00 in the yellow one and that's no radio are batteries.
I have the chargers and another car are two also.
If your intersted PM me and we will talk.

I have a bunch of spare parts also.

Absolutely outstanding! What a fantastic collection. The attention to detail and realistic photos takes these to a unique level.

Thank you guys, very much. I myself think they are not good enough. It took me a long time to feel comfortable showing these on my regular scale rc forum I belong too. Comments like these always make me feel a little better about myself and my little trucks.

Thank you again !

@ RatRod68, I need to redo a couple things on that one, I wasn't very patient with that one.

It originally was built like this : but it kinda warped in the heat of the garage because I used to thin of styrene, so I rebuilt it as you see it now.

(I had a thing for crew cabs)
