Choo Choo Custom owners

A recent post by member Bozo stated the he owned a 1983 El Camino Choo Choo Custom. I am doing research on CCC production numbers and would like to hear more about his truck.

Re: Choo Choo Custom owners

OOOoookay...How about a reply from "ANY" Choo Choo Custom owner? CCC officially folded in July 2009. Any records of production numbers are long gone. So, I have established a data base and I am entering info from copies of the recertification decals located on the drivers side door jamb(body). I currently have entries for Chevy K5 blazers, Crewcab duallys, 1500 p/u's, and one GMC S-15 Jimmy.

Re: Choo Choo Custom owners

Jitteryguy, thanks for recertification decals pictures. This is how to verify that you own a "real" Choo Choo Custom.
Andrewmp6, those numbers, in my opinion, are for all CCC series thus (unaudited). I think an "audited" version would reveal the actual production numbers by each series, El Camino, 1500's, Crewcabs, Blazers, etc. When I spoke with Joe Lambardo , CEO of Honest Charley's in July 2012, he said all production documents were lost. So, here I am doing my research. NOTE:The highest numbered El Camino I have in my data base is #2234 built in July 1987.

A tired warrior of the 1980s in a world of low profile tires, front wheel drive, and plastic bumpers, where people stay in their houses until snowplows move the offending substance from their paths, too helpless to travel without AAA and chains and salt, clearing their windows with longhandled brushes while gently stepping around in the snow trying to stay nice and dry.
