Yes Tim, I copied your idea back when I did the glove box door on my red '69 and it does a good, too. I used some of that textured paint creating some fauxtina on an old JC Higgins boardtrack tribute bicycle a few months ago, and decided to try it.

No problem! I forgot add that I wiped the whole thing down with acetone to try to remove any oil or old Armor All, etc.

I got the dash cluster installed today, and it looks really nice. I'm just waiting on the new glove box emblem to come in now!

You just solved my dilemma on my 68 same light blue body.
I was ready to paint the glove box door blue, but this is so much better
