cheapest disc brake wheel

So Id like to do my disc brake conversion by years end. Currently, my biggest cost besides the conversion will be buying a set of wheels and tires. My current wheels will not fit with the disc brake calipers.

The world of wheels is far and wide and are usually plagued by $$$. My truck is nothing special just a quiet DD. Whats the cheapest wheel I can get that will fit over the discs? Im prefer a steelie or a plain jane type wheel. No bling look needed here.

6 lug steelie from a 71-up 4wd 1/2 ton truck or blazer, or 6 lug rallye.

Re: cheapest disc brake wheel

I have a set of 4, 6 lug ralleys however a couple of them have dents. At aronud 150 to straighten a wheel plus powder coating I will probably have around 6-800 bucks into them. Was just seeing if there was something cheaper.

Imo, Powder coating is alittle overkill for a dd on a budget. I would check the local c list, wrecking yard and hubcap shop, in that order, for a decent set, clean them up prime paint and roll. Should come in under $200

Re: cheapest disc brake wheel

you could also just get old generic plain steel wheels from the junkyard pile for about $10 a wheel/// a couple of cans of rusoleum and you have rolling daily drivers

Summit Racing list over 100 different wheels in your bolt pattern for under 70 dollars each brand new.

Re: cheapest disc brake wheel

Would I be ok with a set of Weld racing wheels? 6 lug pattern. 12" rotors.
15X8 front, 15X10 rear. Thank you!
