Fixing dents and dings in the grill?

My grill has a few dents, dings and creases. Has anyone managed to work these out before? If so, how did you do it and how were the results?

Re: Fixing dents and dings in the grill?

I have used a small sand bag and various body hammers to work dents out.Grill shell is aluminum so it's pretty soft.May take 2 people to hold but you can place the dents in shell on the sand bag{some use shot bags with steel shot}. With the high side of the dent facing you, lightly hammer the dents into the sand bag.The bag gives you something to hammer against but don't marking the shell on the outside. Start slow to figure out how it is going to react. You can finish by sanding outside and then polish or leave scuffed up which ever finish you prefer. Hope this helps.
