Computer reset
Everybody,
I wanted to reset my computer the other day in my truck because emissions are due. I disconnected the negative cable for about an hour & reconnected it. What do I need to do to get it to start receiving all the inputs again? I came across these posts while using Google to find some info. The truck is a '99 NBS 4x4 1/2 ton Silverado with 4.3/5 speed. I took it to AutoZone to hook up their scanner, but it was reading the inputs yet. Thanks, Chris http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topi...omputer-reset/ http://chevroletforum.com/forum/s-10...r-reset-19833/ Last edited by 53burb; 03-27-2014 at 07:49 AM. Reason: corrected spelling |

Re: Computer reset
I just drove it about 40-50 miles and it was ready, but on my way to emissions, it then threw a couple of codes. I'm trying to figure those out. The codes are P0171 & P0172. I'll start a new thread shortly for any suggestions.
