Anyone kno how hard it is to install a new cylinder switch...lost keys so had to buy a new one just don't kno if it will b an easy install...any help would b greatly appreciated thanks

well as long as you have the right tools.. the steering wheel remover and the compress tool to compress the large washer type thing under the wheel so you can remove the lock ring its quite easy.. the rest are basic tools like a screwdriver and quarter inch drive socket set

What rusty old c10 said. First remove the nut that holds the wheel. Then put the wheel puller on by threading the two side bolts of the puller into the holes on both sides of the wheel. Crank down on the center bolt of the puller until it frees the wheel. Once the wheel is off you will see a large round plate. This is the spring plate. It has a spring underneath it and a lock ring on top facing you. This is a lock ring not a snap ring, and the best way i have found to get it off is by working it off with a small flat screwdriver by tapping the screwdriver with a hammer. It is made out of wire and will distort a little when removed so re-shape it with pliers before you reinstall it. Once that is off if I remember correctly you need to remove the plastic mechanism for the turn signal ( im going off memory here its been awhile) that is held down by three screws. Once the signal assembly is removed you will see a screw to the right near the tumblr. Remove this screw ( bolt actually) and then the tumbler will slide out of its hole. Reinstall everything in reverse.
The whole job looks worse than it really is.

Thnks guys did the swap yesterday...now on to figuring out wich ones are my tailights in all the bunch of wires in the back...(used to b a utility truck n now putting a regulat ned on it)...but has all the trailer wiring n stuff
