I took some 2x3 and had them drilled so I could make some lowering blocks. I pie cut them to put pinion angle back into the rear.
Than got started on lowering the body mounts 5/8 of a inch. Why? that is the amount of spacer I have on her bed, buy lowering the cab that amount I won't need the spacers!! I was able the drill the holes lower, super easy. Here are the front cab mounts, I lendthen them. |

Welded up.
To do the core support mount I lowered the front frame section so the drop included the bumper too!! Thanks Jason |

Awesome as always, a lot of work for a minimal amount of drop. But it's soo worth it. How much angle you put in those lowering blocks?

So I saved all my patterns from when I did Maggies truck, and started on the rear bag mounts. On her truck the bag is off set on the control arm, no biggie other than the control arm is twisted when the truck is aired up. I wanted to see if I could center it on the control arm. I was able to by not having the bag mounts square to the frame and using just the lower outter two holes.
You can see that I'll have to notch the frame in order to have bag clearnce. Its hard to tell but the bag bolts are not parallel to the frame. The upper mark is nothing. Lower bag plate welded on and the inner frame support welded in. (its not parallel to the frame either) Its at a angle. Upper bag mount done! |

The rest of the pics!
This is how I set up bag heigth (3") and lined up the upper and lower bolt holes. Done. I'm at a stand still, waiting on parts. Just got my rear wheels in so I could order my axles, and I have some other parts on order too, Porterbuilt control arms, pan hard rod kit, disc brake kit and dropped spindles. Stay tuned!! Jason |
