Remote Power Steering Reservoir Lines

Hey Guys!
I have a 6.0 out of a 2010 express 2500 van that came with a remote reservoir for the power steering pump. The reservoir has two lines running from it. The one line is of course the feed/fill line that goes directly to the pump. I want to know where the other line is supposed to be connected? Am I able to plug that line?

I don't have a picture of it right now, but I will upload a picture later tonight.

Probably the return line out of the box. The one that's just on with hose clamps.

Re: Remote Power Steering Reservoir Lines

So, my current layout is that there is a feed going into the power steering pump from the reservoir, feed going to power steering box, return from box back to pump. So i have a closed loop from my actual power steering pump to steering box, but I have the extra line at the reservoir i don't know what to do with.

I hope what i am saying makes sense.

I'd have to look at the one in my garage, but it might be an extra return if it was from a Hydroboost equipped HD truck.

Pretty sure all the newer vans have hydroboost, so it's most likely a return for that. you can plug it.

Re: Remote Power Steering Reservoir Lines

I was hoping that it was just another return. I appreciate the help.

If I have fluid spraying every where when I get around to starting it for the first time I will be back on this thread!
