Last ls question before parts get ordered

I planned to go carb'd on my 5.3 into a 85c-10. Well the intake is on back order. I started thinking. I have to get intake, timing control msd and think I may get a new carb then the one originally planned to use. My engine is complete without harness and accessories. I know I need the fuel system setup. But would I be better off going fuel injected. Other than the accessories wiring harness and fuel system setup. What else would I need. Started thinking it maybe cheaper to go efi, instead of carb'd. Second guessing my decision. One last post before it all starts lol

You'd need the intake manifold and a throttle body that will work, unless you already have them off a donor (or with the motor). All you would need is the injectors and the fuel lines etc. The wiring harness will need to include all the injector stuff and any throttle body dbw stuff if applicable.
