Those were added, not a Chevy part. I have them on my 89 V30. I bought them a Camper World

Re: 1967 Camper tie downs Question

Where is pic #2 located on the truck and does it have a re-enforcement
piece behind it? I assume just behind the cab on the bedside?
Also, are there tie downs in the back also?

Quite cool regardless of era or source!

Re: 1967 Camper tie downs Question

If I had to date them without researching I'd say late 70's.

Re: 1967 Camper tie downs Question

My 67 Custom Camper has them also. My truck was purchased from the dealer with its camper, slide out bumper and all. Dealer install definitely, but available in 67. Also, (of course I dont have a pic available atm,) but the round piece at the rear of the bed has a slide on style tie down for the rear of the camper. I will try to post pics tonight.

Re: 1967 Camper tie downs Question

My dad's '68 C10 had them back in the 1972 time frame as we had a slide in camper that we took to the Eastern States Fair each year.
My '67 GMC had them installed as well when I bought it back in '91.
They were not factory installed in my two examples but were installed by a camper dealer when the campers were purchased

Re: 1967 Camper tie downs Question

This truck has, dual Batteries, 3 gas tanks, camper tie downs and wiring that are not on the spid. I am thinking it was added at the Chevy dealership, camper dealership or the owner did it ?

.
Unknown if it has a re enforcement plate behind it. The round tie-down is at the rear of the bed. {See truck picture} You can see the hole where it was mounted on the passenger side rear by the tail light. The plate tie down is behind the cab. One of each tie down on each side of the bed. I don't know if I should keep them on or remove them ?

Close. But, it's actually HappiJac. The buttons are supposed to be attached to the bumper these days. Not sure if that was the case back in the day. Their website still shows them for 1967-1972 trucks.
