My 4x4 buddies took two of the rims for their pre-runner project the moment I got home. They grabbed them out of the back of my truck. I checked the gear ratio on the rear axle and it is a 3:08. I can't wait to clean up and paint that bad boy, hopefully I will be able to get my truck up to 55 mph or even 60 mph. . BTW Vince! That bumper is cherry!

RE : front end troubles ;
A while ago my old '68 1 Ton Panel Truck had front end weirdness so I rebuilt it , new LT radial Tires , ball joints and so on but even after alignment it still wasn't right ~ it turns out one of the Bridgstone tires was 1/4" smaller diameter than the other four...... No more Bridgstones for me ! .

Re: SoCal checkin' in
Thanks bro. I'm definitely down to go to some of the the get togethers and maybe get some ideas from you guys. Right now all my weekends have been spent working on my truck but I can definitely make time. I live in Anaheim where the 5 meets the 91 so you guys aren't too far from me. Let me know when the next meet is and I will try and make it.

Hey Randy, yes I still want that bumper, yet im still dealing with that frontend issue. My last resort is a new tire this week. Maybe I can drive down this weekend. Sorry about the short notice, I just found out Friday from friend of mine. But this meet is every 3rd Sunday so it will be back. |
