Re: The 60-66 "Pay It Forward" thread!
You could always throw them on the back of a wagon and pull them around the Pomona swapmeet this Sunday with a "Free" sign. Even if someone doesn't have a need for them on a C10 they work great to hold down the legs of a canopy in the wind

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
I have a bunch of stuff. Was trying to sell it on CL but none of it is moving. So, if you are reading this it's all free!!!! come and get it.
'65 cab! ( no I don't have a title for it) small back window, rust in the usual floor areas but very fixable. 230 inline 6 ran when pulled two years ago stock drum MC Stock manual steering gear stock spindles & steering arms Stock mechanical gas pedal linkage stock in-cab gas tank with sending unit. Saginaw 3 speed with linkage and hurst floor shifter there are probably a couple other things I'm forgetting and can add later. Everything is in Minturn Colorado, I really don't have the time ship anything but CO is beautiful this time of year, and what better excuse for a road trip other than to get parts!!! |

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
O.K. Here we go. I have a Sportsliner Camper for a Long Fleet that I grabbed a few years ago with the intent of fitting it to my Long Step. I never got time to do it. There's a couple of small holes in the roof (they were there when I got it) that could use some aluminum sheet and pop rivets. The side glass is missing but is an easy square cut, front glass and gasket are missing BUT.. the back door which is in great shape still has the window and gasket for a template. The back door mechanism works great but I don't have the keys. This would make a great period correct topper for someone. Free to anyone on this site that wants to come by and save it. Please don't scrap this thing.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
I'm thinking of temporarily modifying my truck in a "Mad Max" style for halloween, and want to make some crazy fake engine coming out of the hood. But even though I have a better hood that will eventually go on, I don't want to trash the current one, as it is definitely fixable for someone who needs it. It'll need a front panel, and some holes patched on the side, but most of it is solid.
To that end, I'm willing to swap the current hood straight-up to anyone local for their trashed hood. I just need one solid enough to bold up & latch. Don't care about rust/dents/paint/etc.

Anybody need an under-bed spare tire carrier? It came off my '62 non-dually C30.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
I'd be interested in the hardware off of this if its in decent shape. Just gave a buddy whos working on a 65 this mount, but he needs the hardware that goes with it.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
Seems alright. I took it off because someone had installed a side tire mount on one step and I'm not a huge fan of the under-bed mounts any way. Thinking about sticking my gas tank under there.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
I can see. Probably going to be a fortune to get from here to Cali though. PM your address and I'll get it packaged up, but I won't be able to get down there to get it weighed and everything till Saturday. I'll let you know how much then.

Re: The 60-66 "Pay It Forward" thread!
I might be able to use these on my stock '63 C10. I haven't had it too long. I noticed several lug bolts missing and the drums are pretty rust coated. I'll take the wheels off this weekend, check it out and get back to you. I am in Brea.
