Tire size 3/5 drop

I am looking to upgrade my 1968 c10 tires from the current 20 year old, tread worn, and hole ridden tires. I have 15"x8" western hurricane rims up front with a 4" back spacing and 15"x11" with 4" backspacing western hurricane rims out back. The truck has a 3/5 drop. Just looking for pics and recommendations of what tire sizes I should look at. Really wanting to fill the wheel wells with the new tires. Thanks.

You won't fill the wheel wells with 15 in wheels. These are 17's with 60 series tires and a 3/5 drop.

Re: Tire size 3/5 drop

One of the best things you can do for your truck IMO is to get rid of the 15's. As far as that goes, 17's are the new 15's.

My truck is a 4.5"/7" drop. Front tires are 235 55 17 and rears are 275 55 17.

Re: Tire size 3/5 drop

Mine has 15" too. I think they have a 45 width too in the 17's. I would like a 4-5 back space on both the front and rear like I have now.

Re: Tire size 3/5 drop

My fronts are 17x8 with 4.5" backspace and the rear are 17x9 with 5" backspace. Also know as zero offset rims.

As a stepside, this is the biggest tire that will fit in 17" size without modifying the bed. It also required conversion to the 70-72 wider axle housing. In my case, a 5 lug from a '71 truck.
