Re: Brake line diagram? Anybody have one?

What year? 2WD or 4WD? 1/2 or 3/4 ton?

71s and 72s are different from the earlier trucks. I believe the 1/2 and 3/4 ton 2WDs are the same except for the rear axle lines, and the earlier trucks may have used different style clips to secure the lines. I have lots of photos I took of the original lines when I disassembled my 69 3/4 ton with a H-052 axle if you think they would help.

Re: Brake line diagram? Anybody have one?

Yikes! I guess I could at least list what I'm working on. It's a 67 short step with 72 suspension front and rear. Brake line are from Inline tube and for a 72 short step.

Many Thanks!

Re: Brake line diagram? Anybody have one?

You will have to change up the rear a little. The 72 hardline snakes around the cross member and has a hose that attaches on a small bracket that is mounted with diff cover bolts. The 67 hard line ends on the frame side rail. Easy to fix you just have to work with what you have. here is a picture of a 71/72 rear

Re: Brake line diagram? Anybody have one?

gysgtc, have you installed the lines that come down from the prop valve to the frame? I was planing to buy a kit from Inline Tube (CTB67D4), but when I called Inline Tube they were unable to say for sure if this kit went inside or outside of the frame rail. I am trying to make sure these go outside of the frame and not inside. Any more pics you have would be helpful.
Thanks

Re: Brake line diagram? Anybody have one?

Fasttech, here is a picture of the lines that run to the valve. They run on the outside of the frame. When I ordered mine from inline I just told them it was for a 67 c10 with front brake conversion. Let me know if you need any other pictures. Wayne

Re: Brake line diagram? Anybody have one?

Great pic thanks Wayne! This is certainly outside the frame. Very important to keep heat from the headers away from the brake lines. If you have time can you post the Inline part number(s) you purchased?

Re: Brake line diagram? Anybody have one?

Sorry I don't have a part number. I just called them and told them I wanted the complete set for a 67 long bed with front disc conversion. I bought the stainless set. If I have time later today I'll dig thru my box of receipts and see if I can find a part number for you.

When you purchased these lines, did they come with the T block and necessary connections? The kit I ordered and received today did not have them. I'm hoping they forgot them. I have a 72 long bed, coils in the rear, front disc, factory booster, 8 lug, ho-52 rear axle, 350 w 3 on the tree, 2wd.
