Bed corners

The front corners of my bed are rotted out. I'd replace the whole side, but it's not necessary, since the holes are only about the size of a quarter. See the attached photo for an example of what I"m talking about. I've checked out lmctruck.com as well as chevyduty.com and I couldn't find anywhere that sells patch panels for it. Anyone have any ideas? BTW, I don't know of any 67-72 trucks in junkyards around here that I could cut the corner out of. Thanks!

hey mac,

i used to live in indiana, and there are a wealth of old salvage yards with our trucks in them there... you just have to look around....

have you tried a directory of salvage yards? try this website....

http://salvage.directoryusa.biz/IN/cities.php

a lot of the salvage yards i visit are listed on this list.... i dont know exactly where you are in indiana, but if you are in the northeast, you will have great luck....

I thinik I'd be far more concerned about the rust on the back of the cab
I don't know how you easterners do it. Surface rust is darn near a cause to send a truck to the scap yard here. Don't know what I'd do if I ever saw a rust pit, or a (gasp) rust hole!

I might have what you need, and I am in northern Indiana (near Fort Wayne). I will take a look next time I am at the farm and see what I have.

Thanks for the website. Yeah, I am more concerned about the cab corners and rockers, but I know where to get replacement parts for that, and I don't for the corner. Thanks again! Oh, BTW, I go to school at Butler, and on breaks I live in Culver.
