brake line tabs

Does anyone else have the brake line tabs welded to the front on the front cross-member. I am thinking someone had done this for whatever reason. The new 11.5 inch lines I have for replacements are to short since lower the front 4.5 inches. Anyone out there know of a replacement brake line to use. Do not really want to relocate the tabs as everything in now painted and finished

Re: brake line tabs

I believe you have a 71 or 72 cross member. The factory brake lines run on the front side of the cross member of those years from the factory. Do a search and I am sure you will be rewarded with the part number of a longer hose that works on a lowered truck.

Good luck

Re: brake line tabs

I believe I used 1973-1987 one ton brake hoses. They are about about 3 inches longer.

Re: brake line tabs

Pappy you can use the 71-72 3/4 ton or 1 ton brake hoses also, they are a inch longer. I liked the 73-87 hoses because they're considerably longer.
