Cup Holders

Hey guys. After spilling my R44 Coke this morning I'm thinking about cup holders. Any suggestions that doesn't look modern?

Re: Cup Holders

There are venders that sale two hole cup holders that slip into your ash tray slot, but they cover part of your radio space. I took one of them and screwed it to a 2 by 4 which I anchored under the middle of my seat so it sticks just in front of the seat above the hump.

Re: Cup Holders

I am going to use a cup holder off an 99-06 gm pickup with a bench seat. It has a nice bracket that will bolt to the underside frame on the 68 and sit right in the middle. I am also going to paint it to match the interior. This is not the best picture but is really close.

Over abbreviated, huh? I would have known if it was rt44, or had a clue anyway. Rt stands for route, r stands for any word that starts with r

These humongous buckets of soda pop they sell these days don't work well with cup holders anyway. Between the legs or have your honey hold it

Re: Cup Holders

RustyBucket posted a pic of what you need...I started out using the plastic window hangers...the complete absence of cubby holes in my ‘67 drove me to the console solution. You do need a center seat belt (or maybe just rope) to hold it in place, though....

$57 cheap. not fastened to anything but I haven't managed to sling it off the seat yet. Usually have my elbow on it. It was gray and I painted it blue with vinyl spray. Had a 44oz. Polar Pop in it today.... any size $.69

Re: Cup Holders

I mounted an old coffee can to the hump. Put it a little ways behind the shifter, checked to make sure I could still get my coffee in and out when I'm in second and fourth gears, and tacked it in place with a few #8 self-drilling screws.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
