Houston/Cypress TX area shops

Hi All
Looking for shops in the Houston area or within 2 hours of the area. Not looking to do a ground up on my truck, but someone that can assist on things I can't do, like electrical work and stuff. Hopefully build as relationship as these trucks take years and a lot of money, so it would be nice to get things done in stages, but my first step is just to have a safe driver with all the lights and gauges working. Im trying to get a jump start as I actually wont be back in Texas until July. Thanks and Merrry Christmas

Maybe any public co-ops where people go to work on their trucks and share tips and knowledge. I know this forum has a ton of knowledge and that helps out

I think there a small shop in Spring where my daughter lives but I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head.... One of these guys could probably point you in the right direction.

http://www.brucesrodshop.com/

They are both in the Spring area.

Re: Houston/Cypress TX area shops

Here are a couple of pics of how she sits now. The truck is decent shape, has some rust in usual spots, but I think she is pretty solid. My goal is to work on the inside the cab and doors first. The truck is a 4 speed Muncie and I would like to change out to an auto at some point. All the gauges are not working, no brake lights(they were working) and need new ignition switch. My son was driving it a couple days here and there until he realized the brake lights stopped working, so he just parked it and now she is sitting until I get there.

Re: Houston/Cypress TX area shops

Thanks to everyone who pm'd some info. Cant wait to get the project started. Here's another pic of the front which I want to change to stock set. So lots of work to be done, but first need it to just pass Texas inspection so I can drive it.
