Sweet sassy molassy, I was hoping that the bed wouldn't just be a flat piece of steel. The strips really pull it together!

Re: off it goes

actually we formed each stainless bed strip to fit the floor perfectly after final bodywork and before we painted the truck and then re-tweaked after paint and polish. Then we just attached them to the floor using 3M two sided tape which is super strong. We had talked about drilling and tapping them but we didn't want to see all the fasteners under the truck. so this was the cleanest way of mounting. The cool thing with the strips is that they are made out of stainless so they will never need to be polished. Thanks for the compliments guys...

Re: off it goes

buddy of mine owns a truck polishing business, so we thought we'd take the brushed finish cab mouldings to a mirror finish....turned out killer. Another friend Anodizes so it's of to him next so I never have to polish it again, then mask and put the Yellowish color back in

Re: off it goes

thanks guys....not CAT yellow, it's a GM color, we haven't anodized it and probably wont. We don't want to lose the mirror finish on it so we have a different product we got from a professional polisher which rubs on and dries like a clear coat..I'll let you know how it works

Re: off it goes

Are you using a front bed panel, or are you doing without? I'm just surprised you didn't install it when you mounted the bed floor.
