Brothers Trucks is now offering 15" stock style steering wheels

I saw in the August email newsletter from Brothers Trucks they are now offering 69-72 stock style steering wheels in 15" diameter. I think I'll have to try one. I like the idea of the stock look with a more manageable modern size.

I'd like to see pics of one installed.
Hard to beat a 3-spoke cushion grip wheel in these trucks.

Re: Brothers Trucks is now offering 15" stock style steering wheels

I'd like to know if it is stronger than the full size repop. The main reason I've never gotten a repop steering wheel is because so many reviewers here have said how flimsy they are, that the metal band in the center is much smaller than the original.

Re: Brothers Trucks is now offering 15" stock style steering wheels

This one should be more stout by the nature of it's smaller size. I think the first steering wheels made available were flimsy then better ones came out. I bought a flimsy one from LMC in '01. I think these are cool, but if I want a stock looking steering wheel I can handle the stock steering wheel. If I want smaller or custom I go to a car steering wheel. Who knows, might one day do a truck where such a wheel would be called for.

What's the price on these?

Re: Brothers Trucks is now offering 15" stock style steering wheels

I like it, it's pricey but with power steering, a quick ratio box, a new thick seat foam, it might be just the ticket .

Maybe you can take the sacrificial plunge and report back? Lol. I’m sure eventually we’ll see an honest review posted. I went with the “comfort grip” but may want to switch to this newer option. The stock look is my favorite.

I may just do that, but a driving review would still be a bit down the road seeing it's not running yet !

Re: Brothers Trucks is now offering 15" stock style steering wheels

The more I think about it the more I like it. Yesterday I was installing seat belts and sitting behind the wheel I believe if it was a couple inches smaller it would be a better fit with the new seat foam. I love the original wheel, but it's just too big.

Anybody else think this way, or have a different opinion?

Re: Brothers Trucks is now offering 15" stock style steering wheels

I've thought for years that a smaller stock wheel would be ideal in our trucks. I've had my Le Carra since 2006 and on 2 trucks now and was figuring on getting one of the cushion grip ones but now I dont know.

I wish they would have more color options. They seem to think these are the only colors that people are interested in but mine was a 1970 gold but I guess it is too rare to reproduce.
