I found some more assembly plant inspection marks today.
Blue paint mark on top of axle tube by rear shock mount. Blue paint mark on top of transfer case at the rear output shaft. Part number stencil on drive shaft. "Chassis and Body Parts Catalogue" effective May, 1979 says the part number is 3995752

The chassis is coming around after several doses of degreaser. I washed the 55 while I was waiting for the degreaser to soak.yeah she's a picture whore.
