Original all metal radiator, keep or recycle.

Are the original style brass radiators worth the cost of a rebuild?

As with most any restoration I do, I always attempt to rebuild original items, rather than replace with aftermarket. Many times it actually costs me more, but I just like keeping original whenever possible.

I find the original are always (almost anyway), better than what I can get aftermarket. Especially when it involves crap coming from across the oceans.

Pat, point well taken, I'll hang onto it for a later stage in the driver/restore. Roy

Re: Original all metal radiator, keep or recycle.

A bit off subject, but for the best quality rad at the lowest cost I purchase just the aluminum cores from Howe Racing and build my own tanks. The one I built for my Blazer cost me around $180 plus a couple hours of fabrication. They sell all hardware too. Good option for those that have access to welding equipment.
