I have seen this advertised but always wondered what it was a fix for. Looks like it may be for the wear on your latch. Does it slip over the rotating cam to give a new surface? https://www.oldchevytrucks.com/cart/...8&i=19125|||||

I saw those but wasn't sure what they were used for. Interesting. Anyone ever use one?
